Health & Safety Consulting is based in Northern Ireland but operating wherever value can be added. Focusing on the high hazard industries with a developed safety culture, we work with clients to create a road map to a safer and more efficient operation over a defined period. This approach is a combination of strategy development, delivering improvements in process safety, occupational health and safety and behavioural safety concurrently. 

Executive profiles – Ashley HASLETT - Director and Consultant

Ashley brings a lifetime of experience as an operational manager responsible for high hazard manufacturing sites (ie COMAH Upper & Lower Tier) at senior management levels.

As a young Plant Manager, he carried the line management responsibility for a serious incident in which two colleagues were hospitalised (not life threatening). This was the turning point in his life when he committed to ensuring that all of his team members went home at the end of everyday in the same condition that they arrived. After 30+ years, that has been achieved other than the occasional relatively minor injury. This hasn't happened by accident! It has been through extracting the lessons from incidents where ever possible. He's learnt a lot throughout that period and now has the opportunity to share those lessons.

He has many years involvement with Industry Bodies at International, European and UK national level and presented Papers at many international conferences. The operational responsibility included everything associated with health and safety as he firmly believes there is no conflict of interest between operations and safety. He is passionate about leadership, continuous improvement, engagement at all levels, and having a clear strategic direction to achieve aspirations.
